The basic Nerf Gun is a relatively cheap and safe way of investigating ballistics and some energy transfers as part of an educational project
The standard projectile has a soft tip for safety reasons, but these don't always fly in a straight line, and compress on impact. The replacement tip presented here can not only make the projectile fly in a more straight line, but more of its energy can be transferred to whatever it hits.
The method which worked best for me was to gently remove the original tip from a projectile, and then fix the new tip into the other end which will be slightly smoother inside.
The STL file here has a long thin hole in the tip designed to take a cut down dressmaking pin or needle, which would be ideal for bursting balloons, however this has not printed cleanly so far, and I need to go back to that at some point.
The tip here was printed on a Geeetech i3 printer, using SLA filament, but in theory it could be printed in any medium.
Under no circums
