This si a basic sourdough bread banneton. It is used to allow the dough to rise. It can be used for other breads than just sourdough as well. I made this one out of PHA so that there are no microplastic worries and it can be placed into the dishwasher for sanitation. We do like to line it with some parchment so there is even less concern and cleaning is easier as well.
