Nexstar 5SE solar filter

A solar filter for a Celestron Nexstar 5SE.

Get a sheet of Baader Planetarium AstroSolar solar filter 20 x 29 cm.

After printing you'll only need to sand a possible flatfoot of the inner ring.

Draw and cut is a little bigger than the inner ring. Place it on the outer ring and insert the inner ring into the outer one. If you are happy with the setup, glue the rings together. I used ABS and acetone to seal both parts.

Print the protection if you want to avoid ripping the filter.

And beware when looking at the sun, protect your eyes and your equipment.

With a little piece of the leftover solar filter sheet, print a filter for the finder your are using.
