This is a working model. i have printed and used it - and it indeed reduces popcorning and improves grind fines variation.
it is based on dave corbey's video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsxUzpH0VIw
i've made a few changes:
1. the "collecting" hole is angled (and i might try a more screw-like twisted design later) - i have tested this vs. a normal straight walled design and this grinds faster and has less popcorning.
2. it has a "key-hole" for the metal key part that holds the inner burr. you have to raise it about 2mm so it sticks out top and fits into the rectangular hole.
your printer needs to be pretty accurate and well calibrated. for me this model results in a print that needs no further sanding or modifications to fit the screw or the metal key in their respective holes.
as always, a .step file is attached, and as soon as i finalize the design - an .f3d file will also be added.
