I have used this arm for some time now and major crashes have not even phased it. The arm has integrated spacers and strain-relief. The main section of the arm is 4.7mm thick and stretches to 10mm at the base. The arm has a channel for routing the motor wires through. The strain relief reduces stress at the normal pinch point of the frame.

These arms are much lighter than the thick replacement carbon fiber arms they now sell. I have broken the thin arms that come with the frame - These I have not broken.

Thin (3mm) carbon fiber (stock) and spacers: 9.6g each
Printed arm with spacer and strain-relief: 14.5g each
Thicker (5mm) carbon fiber and spacers: 18.7g each

Sure you could pay $50 for the thicker carbon fiber, but you can print this on-demand in any color for about 50 cents and save on about 4g weight each.

Print at 100% infill. For strength, print the infill at a 45 degree angle. Remove the integrated skirt/brim after printing.
