Where to start... oh, i know. First off it wont work currently. I just had to get it out of my brain and this seemed to do the trick. The idea was to count time is strange a different ways. So the first is water flow. Based on an hourglass, the tank would be designed to fill up at a constant rate. I found some paristaltic Pumps that put out around 6 Lph which would fill the tank in ~ 10 min. and which point the tank would empty. I drew it as a siphon tube, but i'm guessing you have to find a valve of some sort to meter this. The Emptying would release a marble from the top track. I have it drawn as a float in the sump tank, but again I think I need to find a different solution. After six marbles are released, the midtrack is unballence and tips dropping the marbles down to the bottom track and sending them back to the top via a archy screw elevator. on the tipping, a lever arm advances the clock face counting the hour (again not well designed). All said, you keep time by the clock face (hour) the marbles in the main track (ten's past the hour) and the water level (mins past the ten's) . The rendering would read 5:35, or at least it would if I hadn't messed up the lines on the tank. Anyway, hopefully it's out of my brain and I can move on... maybe someone else can get it to a functional design. Cheers, Midnight and wide awake Tom
