This is a model to support a Nintendo Switch when in tabletop mode.
Within the STL file, there is a model for the holder itself and a flat piece which can act as either a spacer or a backing plate.
In my application where I have a Nintendo Switch on a raised cardboard box, the flat piece acts as a backing plate. The holder is secured in place with screws to the backing plate placed on the other side of the cardboard. I then cut a slit in the cardboard for the kickstand to sit in to prevent the Switch from moving left and right.
If a platform for the Nintendo Switch is used where the kickstand cannot sit in a recess:
- Using the holder by itself can support the Nintendo Switch without the kickstand being used
- If the kickstand is used, just using the holder itself makes the Nintendo Switch unstable. The solution I have found is to use the flat piece as a spacer. Position the spacer directly below the holder and the Nintendo Switch is stable even when the kickstand is used.
