Niskin3D Water Sampler

The Niskin bottle, a seemingly simple tube designed to take water samples at discrete depths, is one of the most important tools of oceanography. Coupled with a CTD, an array of Niskin bottles provides everything and oceanographer needs to profile the ocean.

This version is designed around a 1.25 inch acrylic tube, the trigger mechanism can be expanded to fit any size pipe. The trigger is driven by a commercial waterproof servo [(HiTec HS-646WP)](https://www.amazon.com/HiTec-32646W-HS-646WP-Water-Analog/dp/B0068JVDGC/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=soutfriescie-20&linkId=7bad53f7ad44e799077d29435b57b892). Everything can be purchased off-the-shelf or printed on a home 3D printer.
