NiteLiteBaby! is a small LED lamp that uses 3/8" hardwood dowel for its structure. It can be assembled in a variety of configurations by varying the length of the dowels and the number and kind of printed elements resulting in different "personalities". It's also fun to play with the wire which can be routed in ways that become another design element
The LED strip is a 5050 SMD cut to its minimum size of three LEDs. I found this to be too bright for the night light application so I added an opaque "diffuser" that blocks the light from two of the LEDs making it dimmer. The strip requires a 12V DC power source.
The printed components consist of the tripod connector (both plain and with wire guide), end caps, wire guide collar, a swivel-head lampholder/shade and the afore mentioned "diffuser". These can be used in any number or configuration. Get crazy!
The shade is attached to the dowel with a M3 16mm socket head screw and nut. The wire guides are sized for 24 gauge AWG speake
