I needed something to mount a wireless charger on my dash, so this is what I came up with.

Phone is a Note9 in a OtterBox Defender case. I have a thin metal plate in the case between the inner and outer case that lines up with the magnet. This helps hold it from vibrating out. Not strong enough to hold upside down, but sufficient for my needs.
A rare earth magnet presses in - 15mmx3mm disc type off of ebay
