Perfect tool for changing the nozzle in heated condition. Can be used with regular 6mm socket wrenches (Nut-size 6mm) with or without additional extension. Maximum diameter of socket wrench is 12,7mm to fit in smooth. When the socket wrench is slightly warmed by the nozzle it will fit in snuggly.
#10 Step Instruction
for change the nozzle for MK8 extruder in less than two minutes:
1. Heat up to 40°C below regular printing temperature, e.g. 160°C for PLA. This prevent any unintentional liquid drops of mold.
2. Remove filament from extruder by pressing the lever and gently pulling on the filament. Remove extruder and stepper motor
3. If possible: Clear the nozzle from remaining molten filament. Use an smooth rod of 2mm diameter
4. Loosen the nozzle with a wrench.
5. Unscrew the nozzle completely with the quick change tool.
6. Push the inliner out. Check it and replace the inliner if worn.
7. Reinstall Inliner. Bear in mind, that the inliner has to be stick out ca. 0.5mm
