Although there exists the thoughtfully designed [official ATX PSU bracket](https://coolermaster.egnyte.com/fl/d18M4dx90F#folder-link/), I had trouble using the official design with my EVGA G3 850W (which is 150 mm in length):
* Front mounting with PSU intake facing the front of the case leads to power cables running straight into the GPU. I could force the GPU in but it couldn't have been safe long term.
* Front mounting with PSU intake facing the inside of the case leads to the PSU eating hot GPU exhaust, which in turn led to my PSU being the loudest component in the case...
* If memory serves, the official design wasn't quite meant being mounted next to the motherboard. Even if it did support such mounting orientation, there wouldn't have been enough clearance for my GPU anyway when power cables are taken into account.
Front mounting also gets in the way of the original side bracket.
