The fans on the Nvidia Shield 2017 are known to get noisy or fail and are nearly impossible to find. This case will allow you to use a Noctua fan to cool the Shield. When printing, there is no need to do supports for the thin vents but you will want to do them for the ports to keep them nice and clean.

I used the NF-A4x10 PWM 4 wire fan. I was only able to get the fan to run at two constant speeds depending on how I spliced the wires and ended up leaving it on the high configuration since the Shield can run hot and the fan is so silent. The two wiring setups are below. If you want to run the fan on the high setting, you really only need the first two wired since that is your power. Cut the connector off your old fan and wire it to your new fan. For the new heatsink, I used a 40x40x11mm heatsink with thermally conductive adhesive.
