O' Bass

This is a more finished/completed version of the WIP Electric Bass made by Epiccraftful aptly named the O'Bass! I used the same files, but added the end pin and end cap scaled up. I used a 3/5" threaded rod and the pieces threaded on nicely. I used Thomastik Infeld Spirocore strings and they sound good. When tightened, the strings are loud enough, but don't plan on doing any shows. The next step to fix from the original design is the amplification. I'm going to attach a magnetic pickup and amp here soon, I'll update when i do so.

5% infill was too little for the top piece that holds the nut, it collapsed into itself and snapped. I reprinted it with 15% infill and 5 walls and now its holding steady.

I'll update with caps for the hardware spots, I couldn't find hardware in the weird sizes scaled up, m7 x 70 or something. I superglued the sections that were split in half and threaded everything on. It holds steady and well.


I may add a chest rest using the mount that the orig
