O16.5 Fox bogie

There's a distinct lack of British outline O scale narrow gauge models on this site, this is something I gradually aim to rectify by uploading a number of generic wagon designs starting with this bogie which is a required component of a number of bogie wagons that I'm currently working on and will be uploading over the coming weeks.

this is based upon, but by no means an accurate model of, the distinctive "fox" pattern pressed steel bogie used under many narrow gauge prototypes both in the UK and all other parts of the former empire, most notably in Australia where preserved examples of rolling stock utilizing this design of bogie can be found on the Puffing Billy Railway.

this model is designed to take standard "OO" gauge 12.5mm wheelsets as produced by Hornby, Bachmann Branchline, and Peco, this diameter of wheel is necessary to ensure that the NEM pocket designed into the center piece sits at the correct height. Brass bearings are not required.
