Display your old Mainboard in your 3D Printing Room!
Make my day! :) Paypal.me/alrmast
I see many 3D printer enthusiasts upgrade their mainboard to a safer, more reliable version then the stock mainboard. I found myself upgrading soon into 3D printing as well. My old board was just sitting in a box collecting dust so I thought I would give it another use. I created this shadow frame box to display this old mainboard as I have many friends and family that are unaware of the 3D Printing world and how electronics work and this decor piece gives me a chance to show off the printer ;)
Here you will find a 1.50in box and a 1.75in box. With that is also cylinders to raise the board up to create a "pop up" feature. When you glue the cylinder on, be aware of the center of weight on your board and adjust accordingly.
The deeper one is if you want to add some LED lights to the underside of the board for more creativity.
I used doubled sided 3M hanging tape to hang it on the wall. T
