The Red Dot that comes with the One Sky is fine, but I prefer a Telrad. Using the Telrad overlay in SkySafari, and the calibrated circles of the Telrad, finding objects is Child's play with a 32mm Plossl and the One Sky. The scope basically becomes the finder scope.
Due to the adjustable Vixen mount, balance is not an issue.
I used the mounting brackets from a Red Dot. Not sure if it was the one that came with the scope or not, but they are all about the same.
Screws to mount the Telrad are 6-32 socket head screws that I get from Microfasteners for my R/C hobby, but any well stocked hardware store should have them. The print will have threads, but it is best to chase them with a tap for easier adjustment. The ones in the pic are a bit long. One of these days I will cut them down. The Telrad mounts just as it does on the base that it comes with.
I remote the Telrad and base when transporting so it doesn't get knocked off.
