She is continuing to tweak and further revise the SCAD files.
Her abstract:
The researcher successfully made a parametric program for eyeglasses frames that can be 3D printed. The user can type in some simple measurements and a frame will be ready to print. There is a program for the left arm and a program for right arm of the eyeglasses. There is also a program for the rims around the lenses connected by the bridge. In the program hinges are made on each part so once they are printed the pieces can connect with two eyeglass screws. Once the eyeglasses are printed, the lenses can be popped into the rims. This is helpful to society because there are many charities such as, New Eyes, Lions Club, and Eyes of Hope, that take eyeglass dona
