Optical Spectrometer (USB) incl. Software

The grating spectrometer developed by us in combination with a simple C-mount camera, such as the "Rasperry Pi HQ" camera, allows the investigation of a wide variety of light sources and this despite simple and inexpensive assembly. Our spectrometer achieves a resolution of about 1 nm in the visible waveband from 400 nm - 800 nm.

Thanks to the high resolution and the wide spectral range, physical phenomena such as thin film interference, transmission properties of various substances, but also photoluminescence of dyes and even the absorption lines of hydrogen in the emission spectrum of our sun can be observed, studied and measured. With our open source software [**SpecControl**](https://printedlabs.uni-bayreuth.de/en/software/_speccontrol/speccontrol?target=_blank) you have an easy to use tool at your disposal, which has implemented different spectroscopy modes in addition to a calibration routine.
