Optics lens cap

--------------------------29/05/2025 UPDATE: After dwelling on it for a bit, I decided the spring for the internal thread version just wasn't it. It was always popping out when the lens cap was engaged. So I added a draft to the spring to keep it located inside the lens cap. Check out the difference!-------------------------- Keeping optics clean is a splendid idea. But if you're like me/my lab, you're probably always in short supply of lens caps. Buying more lens caps is a pain! So here are some print-in-place springy ones. :) The parts are designed to clip on to external/internal SM1 and SM2 threads.
