An optocoupler is an electronic component that transfers electrical signals between two isolated circuits by using light. Insert and glue a 5mm LED (bright white) into the cavity on the LED side. Insert and glue a 5mm photo-resistor into the cavity on the LDR side. Glue/press-fit the LDR side into the LED side.
Important: Avoid obstructing the internal components as best you can. When connected correctly, the LED will emit light onto the photo resistor. The photo resistor's resistance will decrease when the LED is on and increase when off, and will vary depending on the light intensity.
100% infill and dark filament is recommended for complete opacity. Updated STL files have 1mm holes for LED and LDR leads.
