I needed my vacuum fixed immediately. I have 8 kids and a shedding Siberian Husky, and the replacement part wouldn't arrive from Amazon until Monday (three days from now). So out of desperation and need I decided to attempt a printed part.
This part sees a lot of abuse and impact, as the impeller is in between the sucking end of the vacuum and the vacuum bag. That being said, I modeled this thick, and printed it with thick walls. It survived one vacuuming so far... if it survives until the replacement part arrives, it will consider it a success.
It took 1.5 hrs to print with .75mm line thickness (.6mm nozzle) and .28mm layers. Also, I printed it in PETG with the cooling fan off to maximize impact strength. After printing, I cleaned up the hole wiht a 1/4" drill bit. FWIW, my Oreck is the 2100XL but I think the Oreck fans are mostly universal.
I'm releasing this under the GPL and included the original SolidWorks file.
