Here is a replication of a OTF mechanism purposes you desire.
no blade included as this is to help with understanding and know how of the workings of an OTF.

As for real would workings if completed by the consumer it is replicated to do the same as any other.

best make metal locking tabs if everyday usage. You will need some spring wire or springs for locking tabs and the engager. The engager has a secondary piece to raise over housing less to reach the thumb side Button. use supper glue and then make screw holes if you want to be able to take it apart often. otherwise super glue lid and more.
