I wanted to see if I could make a multi-axis ring gimbal that could rotate on multiple axes using a single driven axis (i.e., the extruder).

This is a work-in-progress. The files need to be tweaked to restrict or allow movement accordingly. I wanted to put it up here in case anyone wants to play with it.
In my first version, the gyro stem is not integrated into the gyro, so it's not perfectly orthogonal to the pin. Also, the pin for the inner ring allows too much linear movement. Thus, the gears are binding and the extruder motor is rotating without rotating the gyro. The magnetic connection does not allow a lot of shear force. Also, I want to make the "fixed" bevel a l
