I designed this quick-print calibration model specifically for testing a new filament. This fast-print overhang test helps you quickly dial in nozzle temperature, fan speed, and ideal support angle before moving on to bigger projects. The model displays overhang angles from 0° to 90°, but instead of the usual 0–90 numbering, it’s labeled 90–0. This makes slicer calibration much easier: if the print begins drooping at, for example, “15,” you simply enter 15° into your slicer without needing to calculate anything yourself. When testing temperature, you’ll notice its effect almost immediately. If the nozzle is too hot, the overhangs begin to droop and surface details soften. If it’s too cold, layer adhesion becomes weak, edges may chip, and the print might feel brittle.-Adjusting the temperature in small increments around 5°C at a time usually helps you find the ideal balance where overhangs stay sharp while layers remain strong and well-bonded.Fan speed also plays a major role.
