Here's are the 3D prints I made to use a PD Stepper board from ThingsByJosh.com to remotely switch my nightly oxygen generator on and off remotely. I've previously used smaller/cheaper smart IoT smart switches like the FingerBot, but they're not sturdy enough and get stripped out eventually. This stepper-based approach is very sturdy, I don't imagine it will ever break on me.
The board is a small form factor stepper motor driver that uses an ESP32 so it's accessible via network. It comes from New Zealand and isn't a cheap item, especially when shipping and tariff's are involved, but I am VERY pleased with it so far. It is no bigger than the stepper profile, is extremely well made. It comes build in with firmware that runs an http server and a webpage that lets you set parameters and actuate the motor in the event you don't want to program the ESP32 from scratch.
I can't post video here, go to Imgur.com if you want to see it in action: https://imgur.com/a/qw0qopT
