So this is finally my version of the pressure switch: THE ALL NEW “P1_2016”. Introduction: This world is getting more and more digital, internet of things for example and many more. So also the technical devices should be able to work with a central control, should be flexible and easy to use, should be lightweight and space- and energy saving. This idea leads me to the idea of the new P1 Pressure switch witch is indeed very lightweight and environment friendly. It uses recyclable plastics and only a few metallic components. How it works: It should be easy to use, no more calibration of the switch – at every application. The P1 has a small cylinder in it which is stored on a simple spring. So now if the pressure goes into the P1, over the standard connection for an 8mm flex tube, it pushes against the cylinder (or vacuum it) and moves it by this forward or backwards against the power of the spring. This movement moves also a simple potentiometer, which is welded with a rod on the spring. So the potentiometer changes the output voltage by changing the resistance. On the backside of the P1, you can plug both male electrical connections to a control that can decide (or better can be adjusted) at which pressure (transmitted as voltage) it should switch. Options: So now you ask : Why not switching inside? And what about differential switching? My answer is that it is simply not needed. There are better external controls than any intern can exist. Also there is the option that you can control your switch (=ext. control) over different switches. You can chance the pressure to switch at any time. If there are low and high pressure lines (diff.-switch), no problem, use two or more of them (e.g. one at the high and one at the low pressure line), because they are cheap to build and easy to assemble. Plug them booth at the same external control and use all the advantages of a modern control! And if you have no space for an external control, just plug a small int. chip as contro
