Ferris Wheel Remixed
Some time ago my wife searched for a ferris wheel as demonstration object for her class. I found this wheel on thingiverse and found it very appealing. But it was too small to be of any use in a teaching situation. So I scaled it up a bit, but then it does not fit on my print bed. So I splitted the wheel parts in two.
Then I could get the gondolas to print right. Moreover the original design does not allow to take a gondola off the wheel. After I designed the gondolas from scratch there was not enough clearance under the wheel. So I constructed some small pillars. I changed the caps for the wheel hub so it holds better while gluing. A custom cap was also made, but that is not in the files. I included the original cap modified to hold on the hub and a blank one for your own designs.
So after all, the most parts where changed, altered or new constructed.
I printed all parts with fine layer height. Beside the base and the wheel hub all parts have 100% infill. As
