Paint Stick Union

I am not a painter but I can paint my own rooms and such at home. A long time ago, i bought a painter's stick that was split into 3 sections about 14 inches each with a plastic union connecting them for a pole about 5 feet long. It was great for the places like hall ways or closets where I only needed a 1 or 2 foot pole on the paint roller.

Well, as with anything, the plastic part broke. I didn't find a model online that was a perfect fit for what I needed so I decided to make one!
