This thing is a replacement for the male end of a standard painter's pole. Same threads are usually used on broom, duster and mop handles. It fits in the standard 13/16" (21mm) ID tubing used for these things. At least the ones I have.

Since it has to be printed on end and the layering of 3D printing can fail with shear loads, I made mine with a 3/8" hole down the middle so I could glue in a length of wood dowel for strength. I used white glue. Anything will work, but white glue acts as a lubricant when installing the dowel so you don't have to wail on it with a hammer to get it all the way in. An extended painter pole with a paint roller on the end represents a pretty big lever so the wood makes it strong enough to resist any kind of bending that could separate the layers.

I included a solid version stl as well, and a STEP file of the hollow version.
