I designed these Painters Pyramids as I was fed up with the standard one that are either commercially available or you can find on Thingiverse (other website available).
A trick often used when furniture making is to put some screws in under a table top or at the bottom of legs, where they will not be seen on the final project. Covered by the rail of a table etc.
This is developing that idea a little further. The pyramid had a nominal 5mm diameter tapered peg, which push fits into a 5mm (or 3/16”) hole. These holes need to be placed where they cannot be seen on the final finished item. But this is not usually difficult to do. The holes need to be just 6/7mm deep.
Once the pyramids have been pushed into the holes the item can be moved around and does not constantly fall over!
They print without the need for supports.
I have created stl files for 40mm, 50mm and 60mm versions.
It can be scaled to any size so if anyone require a larger or smaller version please let me know.
