This is a cutting guide that lets you replicate the grippy scrim effect on Spiritus Systems' pangolin flap with a hobby knife. Since this involves cutting most of the fibers of the cloth, it's only suitable for laminated fabrics like Squadron, B52, PALStex, etc. NORMAL FABRIC WILL FALL APART. If the object is already laser cut, it's probably ok. Don't blame me if you destroy your gear.
There are two ways to do this. Either cut directly through the guide or mark it with a fine point sharpie on the back side before cutting it out. Try to cut through in one go, don't make a bunch of passes over the same spoke. Hold the piece away from your cutting surface so you can see the bits you missed. After cutting it out, go over the raw edges with a lighter. If you aren't sure what you're doing I recommend marking before you cut and practicing on a piece of scrap cloth or even some paper.
