Designed for Anycubic cardboard spools in the Kobra S1 ACE Pro Most reel ring adapters/protectors have a smooth edge, but I was inspired by the test model on the Kobra S1 which has "threads" to help prevent slipping and tugging in the ACE Pro This ring fits any reel with a 196mm diameter and roughly a 3.4mm thickness. Cardboard spools have minor imperfections and are easily damaged, so I've tested this ring on my Anycubic PLA reels which have varied thicknesses from below 3.0 to over 3.5mm. Design Considerations: Tight fit so spool can't spin within the ring Enough space to account for imperfections and damage on the paper reels Lip on the inner edge to prevent the ring from working its way off during use Doesn't block holes to hold filament in place when not in use Sturdy enough to snap on and off multiple reels repeatedly Ridges on the outer edge to improve performance in an AMS Prints quickly (~35min) and easily (no supports) The 3mf file includes designs for the following spool diameters: 194mm 195mm (Sunlu) 196mm (Anycubic) - Main design 200mm (Elegoo) *Note: The different models are redesigned from the ground up. Simply scaling it down can make the ring feel flimsy and scaling it up can make it needlessly thick. These additional models maintain all of the other sizing from my original model while only adjusting the gap size for the cardboard reel itself. The main ring's outer dimensions are: 199.5mm diameter 5.8mm thickness Printer Settings: 0.4mm nozzle 0.2mm layers No supports *Each design takes approximately 40 minutes to print with default settings (only 4 minutes longer than the KS1 test model) Additional Information: On the outer/logo side of the reel, the ring only covers 6mm from the rim. It does not block the holes to hold filament in place when not in use There is a small lip on the inner/filament side of the reel, so it snaps onto the reel and does not slide off during use The slot is for 3.4mm thick paper reels, but it has a bit of extra space to a
