Printer brand: Sovol 3D Printer: Sovol SV01PRO Rafts: No Supports: Yes Custom Section This parametric phone holder secures your cellphone with a tight grip. It has been designed to be used attached to an AC vent in a 1997 Corolla, you may modify the Vent clamp/mount part for other unique applications. Designed with FreeCAD 1.0RC2. Used VarSet for the parameters Some stock files (Step, STL) are provided in here in case you don’t want to be messing with FreeCAD parameters (Only Width is modified in these stock files), if you want me to provide a Editable FreeCAD files are also provided Print Settings Material: PETG Walls: 1.2 mm Infill: 15-25% PARTS 2 integral parts (Holder and clamp/mount) and 1 optional part (spacers) Print Orientation In this design print orientation is crucial for the intended functionality While the holder and spacer print orientation is trivial the clamp/mount orientation is not The clamp/mount most be printed sideways, in such a way that the tab (which by looks like a house) and the vent clamps won’t fail due to layer separation, yes you will need to use supports for this part (snug type supports seems o work the best) Assembly Slide the vent clamp/mount into the holder, you may need to apply a lot of force to join the parts properly Adjust parameters according to your application in freecad Phone Dimensions Phone_Width: Measure your phone width Phone_Thickness: Measure your phone thickness Tolerance Width: This setting allows you to control how much will the holder stretch when you put your phone in it. Recommended range 8 to 12 mm (8mm stock) Holder Dimensions Keep them all stock, only Length will be modified if spring iterations are increased or decreased Spring Dimensions Recommendation is to keep them stock Iterations: Increases or decreases the number of “springs” it also affects the length of the Holder (Stock 6). In theory a higher number of springs should increase the griping force without compromising the deformation limit Thickness:
