In many cases, when assembling an electronic card inside a plastic enclosure, one may need to create a venting aperture to avoid overheating and ensure correct operation.
General purpose plastic enclosures usually come with no vents, therefore when opening a rectangular aperture on some box side, the need arises to put a protection in the hole to avoid dust and debris getting inside the enclosure.
This is why I designed this blind.
Printing this blind is pretty easy and does not set any adhesion challenge. You will need to reverse the model with the upper face down to ensure that the blind axles touch the print bed.
A reasonable 0.16 layer height gives a very good result.
The .STL file uploaded is made for a rectangular window sized 63mm x 23mm
Measures and number of transverse axles are customizable by changing the parameters within the OpenSCAD file.
