Recycling some copper wire? Use these handy wire strippers! They are quick to print, use standard scraper razor blades, and work with ROMEX too!
Note the numbers on the back represent the diameter of the insulation, not the gauge.
Currently I've designed strippers for 14 gauge wire and ROMEX, I may add more in the future. Solidworks part files are included in the .zip and can be easily modified to almost any size. Just follow the directions in the read me.
For best results use your hands to remove any kinks from the wire prior to use. Cut off bent ends if necessary. Pull the blade out slightly and insert the wire though the rear until a small amount is protruding though the front. Press down on the blade and continue pushing until you can get a firm grip on the front of the wire. Begin pulling while maintaining firm blade pressure with your thumb. When finished, use a fingernail or needle nose pliers to separate a portion of insulation at one end of the wire. Manually pull the r
