The Lidl Parkside Xteam 20v battery system is very versatile when it comes to tools. I missed the add on lamp when it was on sale and thought I could improve on it.
The Parkside version has a fixed LED light whereas this version has an adjustable light to get to the spot you are working on.
Parts required. Scrap copper for contacts, 2 off LED COB lights from eBay/Aliexpress. The ones I used are sold in pairs for car interiors and come with adaptors. 50x20mm 36 LEDs. These were incredibly cheap but you could modify the housing to take separate LEDs. 47ohm 1/2 watt resistor or 2x100 ohm 1/4W.
The wiring is simple, but different from my earlier photos. I just wired the LEDs in parallel and added the resistor in series to drop the voltage. This may run hot, if so, use two 100 ohms in parallel.
The demo shell was lighter in colour to be able to photograph. I would suggest a darker colour to avoid making it see through.
