This model is meant for cutting a pathway through drywall or stud walls. We also use it for ceiling entries in some cases, please see the photos. If you use it in a space, make sure you aren't violating fire-rated wall codes or the like. For horizontal traversals, I suggest some firestop putty as a standard practice.
