Most desktop computers that include WiFi and Bluetooth have an external antenna, but include no way to mount it to the case. I made a holder and base to hold the antenna with a simple thumbscrew in an existing hole in the PC case, so it can be easily removed when working on your PC or making upgrades. The holder was for a 2025 MSI Motherboard PC’s WiFi Antenna. Likely older/newer MSI antennas are the same. If you have a different motherboard/antenna, the lower base may work fine, but you either need to make a new holder for the antenna or attach it to the base with double-stick tape. I have an ASUS antenna that came with a holder. Drilling two holes in the holder made it fit great on top of the base, but it would have worked fine with double-stick tape, too. The base was designed for a beQuiet Dark Base 900 case. It may work with other cases, or you may need to redesign it for your specific case. You may want to think of this project as a concept so you can create a new design for your specific PC and antenna. I used dark grey PTEG I happen to have loaded up on my printer, but any color/material should work fine. Layer height was 0.20mm, and I used top surface ironing. All other options were defaults. The two parts are attached with a couple of stock PC screws – 3.4 mm diameter, and 6 mm long. I used a PC thumbscrew to attach the base to the back of the PC. The MSI antenna slides into the holder only from one side.
