A simple bird feeder to provide either peanuts or fat balls to garden birds. The feeder consists of four 3D printed parts, as shown in the pictures. Printing the parts with 15% infill works well. To connect the parts, I used welding rods that can be cheaply obtained from almost any hardware shop. The welding rods are available in 1.6 or 2.0 mm diameter, so I made two sets of models. The welding rods can be easily cut to size by using cutting pliers or a hacksaw. The models have room for 24 rods, which works well for peanuts. By placing fewer rods (for example 8), the feeder can be used with fat balls instead of peanuts.
