Pen Blank Centerfinder

A simple tool for finding the center of a pen blank end. Can also be used to finder the center of a dowel. Simply position the finder on the end of the blank as shown in the picture. Run a pen or pencil along the slot to make a mark diagonally across the blank end. Move the tool to an adjacent corner and make another mark. You will now have an X showing the center of the blank. I have created to different center finders. One allows for a slightly larger tipped pen or pencil to be used. If the pen or pencil doesn't fit tightly into the slot, make sure to hold the pen or pencil against one side or the other of the slot, so that the line you are making is straight.
