The purpose behind the design is to create a simple pencil holder that will help students stay organized while doing online school. With such a simple design, other students have the opportunity to create the same thing using a multitude of different methods, depending on their experience with the software. It is easy to get overwhelmed with all the different functions and possibilities that come with 3D design. However, starting with something simple can give the student the confidence and inspiration to create much more complicated projects.

I tried to create something I would personally use and I do not have much desk space to work with. This became a challenge as it limited the amount features I could add. I was able to overcome come this by building up and adding a shelf to double the amount of usable space without taking more desk space. However, if I could change one thing, I would try and adjust the size of the holes the pencils go in by making the walls thinner.
