Ever wanted to launch a pencil across the room with a satisfying thwack? Now you can — and you built the launcher yourself. This rubber band powered pencil launcher uses a clever friction-lock sleeve mechanism to store tension and release it in one clean shot. The outer tube friction-locks over the inner tube, two rubber band strips run vertically through the assembly connected to a floating collar at the top, and pulling the collar back stretches the bands to build up energy. Let go and the pencil fires out the open end.No screws. No glue. Just tight tolerances, elastic tension, and a little bit of chaos.Great for desk wars, stress relief, annoying your coworkers, or just flexing that you designed a spring mechanism from scratch. Print it, build it, load it, fire it.Difficulty: Medium — the slam-fit assembly takes a little muscle but that's half the fun.Print Settings: Standard PLA works great. 15–20% infill is plenty. No supports needed on any part.
