Penny Top

UPDATE: We posted another version of our penny/coin top and added in tops for different coin amounts - 1, 5, 10, and 25 cent version. Added a video on how to make these too.

This top is more about the internal design to keep the penny in without glue so we created a picture showing the design / structure. It's sized to a Canadian penny (19.05 mm x 1.45 mm) but a US penny is approx the same size (19.05 x 1.52 mm) but it should fit.

This is one of our Winter camp projects to show kids (7 - 13 yrs) how to design a penny top so it's simple design and more about the internal structure. You can certainly design around to make it look better and keep the internal structure.
