Percy Jackson's Riptide Sword

This is an internal remix of riojaonly's Riptide sword. Rio's design had a great exterior, but the connections left the sword very loose when put together. I redesigned the connections, changing Rio's design with tabs off the end of pieces to insert into the next piece, to rectangular dowels that are printed separately. The dowels stick further into the pieces and fit more snugly, especially along the flat edges, to provide better connection for gluing. I also extended a dowel from the grip, through the cross guard, into the first blade piece to improve the connection between the grip and cross guard.

Printing Notes:

For strength and stability purposes, make sure dowels are printed so the grain of the print is parallel to the length of the sword, not parallel to the gaps between the sword pieces (i.e. print flat, not tall
