Personal UV Air Filter

This is the solid model of the UV personal air filter that I built. It is not a complete plan. You will need access to a laser cutter and machining equipment to build it. You will need to figure out many of the details that are not in the model. It is very big and heavy as it used many materials that I had on hand. If you do build it please keep in mind that it has one-way valves to keep the air flowing in one direction. These are important so that you do not rebreathe any air. Also it is important that you do not use fiberglass air filters from vacuum cleaners as they are not safe to breath through. The flexible tubes are from CPAP machines and can be purchased cheap brand new. If you use actual UV LEDs, make sure that the clear materials are acrylic and sealed to keep the UV safely inside.
