Phone holder thin base (lining insert)

My car lacks accessible vents or places for suction cups, so, the only way to get a phone within the eyes' and arm's reach is either the ashtray or the lining.

After trying out different designs for an ashtray phone holder with wireless charging, I've decided to go a different route. This design reuses a commercial universal wireless charger, cheap (~5 USD) and replaces the ball with a custom one.
It's designed to go inside the dashboard lining, see the picture for my placement.
I use it for a Pixel 3 but should work with any phone.

The lining can be spread with a thin card or special automotive tools. If you get a flat micro USB cable, you can also route the cable inside the car up to the phone holder.
