Pi Bookmark (Remix)

This is a remix of the Pi Bookmark by astoit.

I wanted to print some handouts for my 13y granddaughter for her class on Pi day (3/14/2017) and figured this would not only be celebratory for Pi day but also a functional item. However, the original was rather large and the book tab was a tad on the thick side.

I thinned down the tab to 800 mils so it would be fairly thin and would easily divide into my 0.2mm layer height yielding 4 layers. I have included the original sized Pi with shortened marker tab.

I created a second model where the Pi and tab were sized down to about 60% the original height/width. I can easily get 30 on the build plate now. And they are small enough for kids to use in novels and school books both.

I printed mine using MakerGeeks PETG for its flexibility as well as layer bonding strength. I pushed the layer extrusion multiplier up to 1.25 so it would lay down nice fat lanes since it was going to be so thin.
