I designed this cam for my quadcopter, the Crossfire 2.
The Pi Zero has a video-out, so the idea was, to have a live picture and to record Full-HD-Video at the same time. Of course you can use the cam without a copter too.
How it works:
POWER-ON -
Switch the cam on and the Pi will boot and start the actioncam, indicated by lighting up the status-LED.
VIDEO -
Push Button short, this switches on the prewiew (for FPV) and starts recording video
Push again to stop record
TIMELAPSE -
Push button for at least a second - this starts the prewies (for FPV) and beginns to catpture pictures every 3 seconds. Push Buton again to stop.
SHUTDOWN -
Push Button longer than 5 seconds. The Pi will shut down. Wait a few more seconds after the status-LED goes out, before you switch the Pi off.
Assembly:
You have to solder the components. Look for the read-me and the code on git.hub to see which ports/pins on the raspberry are used for push-button and status-led.
