Pickup winder v4.0

This is a compact, cheap to make winder for pickups for electric instruments, primarily designed for guitar pickups, but in general it can be used for more less any pickup. Though this is the v4.0 it is the first one I am publishing, as I believe it is sufficiently decent design for others to build and use.

Some of the parts can be completely omitted, to cut costs, or to just have a machine that is as simple as possible. Example of this is rails for mounting and spool holder. Many machines do not have any spool holder but instead the spool is just placed vertically and the wire is dragged from it by rotating bobbin without spool being rotated. Another part that can be omitted is the switch for direction change. This is just a convenience so that bobbin can always be mounted the same way and the direction of the winding changed with the switch. Alternative way to change it is just to place bobbin other way around. Basically what is crucial for the build is the housing, top cover and
